PRICING GUIDE

All cakes are designed and priced individually upon your requirements, but the table below is a useful price guide to work with (Please note the price is an indicator of a plain iced cake mounted on an iced board. Carved cakes will incur additional cost and decoration and modelling will be priced in addition to the basic prices below)

Wedding cakes are priced after consultation and upon the final design. Use the table below as a basic STARTING point for a plain iced vanilla sponge cake. All other flavours are an additional £10, toppers/sugar flowers are priced separately and the more elaborate the design the more you can expect to pay.

  • 2 tier cakes typically 6″ and 10″ start from £180
  • 3 tier cakes typically 6″ 8″ and 10″ start from £300 (smaller cakes 4″ 6″ and 8″ from £250)
  • 4 tier cakes typically 4″ 6″ 8″ and 10″ start from £350

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much notice do you need to create my special cake?

The earlier the better, and you can place your order as far in advance as you wish. The notice I require will depend on the size, complexity & detail of the cake, however I will always try my best to accommodate your request.

A minimum of 3 weeks notice is usually required for most decorated cakes, depending on availability. As I am often booked up several weeks in advance, I would recommend giving as much notice as possible

For wedding cake & tiered cake orders, I will need 3-6 months notice.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.

Where do you deliver to?

I will happily consider all commissions, however, the type of cake and distance it has to travel does have an impact on the overall cost.

I charge a nominal delivery fee within the Winchester area and deliveries to Southampton incur a flat fee of £20. Deliveries further afield will be priced accordingly.  

Collection is of course available from me in Winchester. Due to the fragile nature of my cakes, for nationwide deliveries I would need to book a specialist courier service to transport cakes reliably and safely and costs will depend on the location but are usually too prohibitive to be cost effective for you, however I am always happy to provide you with a quote.

Can you tailor your cakes to my budgetary requirements?

The level of detail and complexity as well as the size of the cake will of course determine the cost, and therefore each cake is priced on an individual basis.

What size cake do I need?

To get the most even portions out of your cake, it is best to cut the cake into grids instead of triangles. Below is the portion size guide for round and square cakes based on the following portion sizes:  

  • Fruit cake -1” x 1” wide and 3” deep,
  • Sponge – 1” x 2” wide and 3” deep.

Can you make cakes for special dietary requirements?

I will do my best to accommodate any dietary requirements or special requests you may have. My sponge and chocolate cakes do not contain nuts however they may contain nut traces and are prepared in an environment and with equipment where nuts are present. My carrot and fruit cakes do (unless requested) contain nuts and alcohol.
